Excelsior Maassluis

Excelsior Maassluis is a football club from Maassluis, Netherlands, founded in 1918. The club's home ground is the 5,000 capacity arena known as Sportpark Dijkpolder. Excelsior won the Hoofdklasse of 2013 and became champions of the Topklasse just two years later. Also known as the Tricolores, Excelsior due to their 2016 title win, was promoted to the Tweede Divisie. As so in the division's inaugural season Excelsior ended up at fifth in the league's standings.

Excelsior Maassluis ist ein niederländischer Fußballverein aus Maassluis, Provinz Südholland. Der Verein wurde am 14. August 1910 gegründet und trägt seine Heimspiele im Stadion Drenth aus, das eine Kapazität von 3.000 Zuschauern hat. Excelsior Maassluis spielt derzeit in der Tweede Divisie, der dritten Liga im niederländischen Fußball.

Die erfolgreichste Zeit des Vereins war in den 1960er Jahren, als er in der damals erstklassigen Eredivisie spielte. In der Saison 1963/64 erreichte Excelsior Maassluis das Finale des KNVB-Pokals, unterlag jedoch Feyenoord Rotterdam mit 0:3.

In der Saison 2022/23 belegte Excelsior Maassluis den 10. Platz in der Tweede Divisie.
