Nahda Club Barelias (Arabic: نادي النهضة برالياس, lit. 'Renaissance Club Barelias'), or simply Nahda, is a football club based in Barelias, Beqaa, Lebanon, that competes in the Lebanese Second Division. The club was established in 1986 and competes in the Lebanese Second Division after gaining promotion from the Third Division in 2018.
History
Founded in 1986, the football club is based in the Bekaa area of Lebanon. It was formed in the Lebanese Second Division as the sole representative of clubs in the Bekaa before going down to the Third Division, in which they stayed during the 2004–05 season. However, the following season the club was promoted back to the Second Division.
Die libanesische Fußballmannschaft Nahda Barelias wurde 1956 in der Stadt al-Barelias im Libanon gegründet. Der Verein spielt aktuell in der libanesischen Premier League, der höchsten Spielklasse des Landes.
Nahda Barelias ist einer der erfolgreichsten Vereine im Libanon und hat bisher 20 nationale Meistertitel gewonnen, zuletzt in der Saison 2019/20. Darüber hinaus gewann der Verein auch viermal den libanesischen Pokal und zweimal den libanesischen Superpokal.
Auf internationaler Ebene nahm Nahda Barelias mehrfach an der AFC Champions League teil, dem wichtigsten Vereinswettbewerb Asiens. Der größte Erfolg des Vereins war dabei das Erreichen des Halbfinals in der Saison 2011.
Die Heimspiele von Nahda Barelias finden im al-Nahda-Stadion in al-Barelias statt. Das Stadion hat eine Kapazität von 10.000 Zuschauern.
