Wikipedia - Primera División de Ascenso

The Primera División de Ascenso is the second highest level of football in Guatemala. Formerly, it was known as Liga Mayor "B". It is sanctioned by the National Football Federation of Guatemala.

It is composed of two groups of ten teams each. The top 3 teams of each group go to the promotion playoffs. The bottom two teams of each group go to the relegation playoffs against each other. The winner stays, while the loser gets relegated and the winners of the Segunda Division will be automatically promoted.

Die Guatemala - Primera División ist die höchste Spielklasse im guatemaltekischen Fußball. Sie wurde 1942 gegründet und wird von der Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala (FENAFUTG) organisiert. Die Liga besteht aus 12 Mannschaften, die in einer Hin- und Rückrunde gegeneinander antreten. Die besten vier Mannschaften qualifizieren sich für die Play-offs, während die beiden schlechtesten Mannschaften absteigen.

Meister der Guatemala - Primera División ist der aktuelle Titelverteidiger CSD Municipal. Die erfolgreichste Mannschaft der Liga ist CSD Comunicaciones mit 31 Meistertiteln.
